Guild Background

The Irish Woodturners' Guild was founded in 1983. Since then it has flourished and now has over 800 members and comprises of 16 Chapters. The Guild is run by an Executive committee which is elected at the AGM. To see a list of current Executive Committee members Click Here.

The Guild Executive Committee

The Guild Executive Committee is elected each year at the AGM. The Executive committeee meets at least six times each year and oversees the day-to-day running of the Guild. To see a listing of the current Executive Committee members please Click Here.

Chapters

The Guild is organised in 16 regionsl/local Chapters. Chapters are often said to be the life blood of the Guild and in many instances are the first contact points for new members. Most Chapters organise monthly meetings/workshops and welcome new members as well as members from other Chapters. Below please see list of chapters and a link to some details about each.
